(GIVEAWAY) 2 Easy, Festive Slimline Cards- Lydia’s Crafty Corner

Hi there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. Today, I'm going to be sharing 2 ideas for festive slimline cards.

Now, a lot of slimline cards I come across are all different sizes, so I think that you can really have a play to see what size works for you. My cards here are made from a 7 1/2″ square piece of cardstock folded in half to give me a 3 3/4″ x 7 1/2″ card base.

For the first card, I stamped the sentiment, and then stamped my images using Build-A-Flower: Poinsettia Layering Stamp & Die Set. I stamped the outlines using Embossing Ink and heat set using Antique Gold Embossing Powder. Then, I added the other layers using Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, and Evergreen Inks. To add a little more sparkle, I added some splatter using Antique Gold Ink Spray.

I used the same image for the second card. This time, I stamped it twice; for the green image, I did the same as the other card, and the pink one uses Blush, Rouge, and Crimson Inks for the layers. I die cut the stamped images using the matching dies and layered these on top of each other. For a little added interest I added a plain layer to this card that was 3 1/4″ x 7″.
