3 Watercolor Backgrounds Created With Whimsical Herringbone Stamp Set

Hello, everyone! It's Aga here today with three cards created with Whimsical Herringbone Stamp Set. This set includes a great hand-drawn herringbone patter, and it’s perfect to add a unique sketchy background design to your projects.

Card 1

For my first card, I wanted to create a light, airy background so I stamped my pattern with Embossing Ink onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. Next, I used Watercolor 36 Pan Set to watercolor over creating background.

To finish my card, I added some embellishments: a piece of Antique Engravings Cover Die cut out of white cardstock along with leaves from Leaf Clusters Stamp & Die Bundle stamped with Olive Crisp Dye Ink. The last step was to add my sentiment in black.

Card 2

For my second, I again created a background using Embossing Ink and Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder on watercolor paper. This time, I used different shades of blue and green inks to create my background.

To finish my card, I added floral embellishments from Enjoy the Ride – Bouquet Builder Ephemera pack, and I combined it with a sentiment from Thank You Builder Stamp Set.

Card 3

For my last card, I stamped the Whimsical Herringbone pattern with black and heat embossed with Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder for a nice, shiny effect. Next, I used watercolors to create a colorful rainbow background.

My last step was to add the Thank You sentiment created with Fine Alphabet Die Set and black cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed these examples and you found some inspiration today.
Thank you for stopping by!
