Alcohol-Inked Larkspur on Vellum

It's Virginia here. Have you checked out our latest Build-A-Flower: Larkspur? I say this every month, Altenew's Build-A-Flower Sets never cease to amaze me with the intricate details and well thought-out design. I am sharing another project using the lovely larkspur. This time, I wanted to use the increasingly popular Alcohol Ink. In the past, I had used Altenew Artist Markers previously and they worked beautifully!
Alcohol Ink can be very bold and bright. For my card today, I want to soften it up a bit. Vellum is a non-porous and is ideal both for Alcohol Inks and the Artist Markers.
I absolutely love the details and line in the outline stamps and I really want to show them off. AND the stamp details certainly did not disappoint!
To create the flowers and leaves, I did a whole bunch of white-embossing (in Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder) on my DIY alcohol-inked vellum; which was made by adding alcohol inks and Alcohol Blending Solution on Transparent Paper. Once dry, you can white-emboss the images on the other side. They are so easy to create yet the results of these larkspurs and leaves are stunning! I chose my favorite Pale Gray Cardstock and they are simply excellent.
I love it when a beautifully-designed stamp set can really make designing easy and fun. To keep the flowers even more interesting, I added a piece of Dotted Washi Tape in the background. Adding the Dotted Washi Tape was an impulsive decision. But, most of the time, I trust my guts and that is exactly what I did.
