Alternative Colors
It’s Debby here today and I have a card to share showcasing colors which are a little bit alternative. Don't get me wrong. I love pink and purple flowers and green leaves, but sometimes it is nice to break the mold and try something different.
ALTERNATIVE COLORS
I have all my inks swatched and find this a useful way to try out different color combinations. I play around putting different swatches together until I'm happy.
I stamped the Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum in a combination of Buttercream, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, and Firebrick and the leaves in Mountain Mist, Lagoon, and Emerald. I used the matching dies from the set to cut two flowers and a bunch of leaves.
I foam mounted the florals to a card base, cut and scored from Pale Gray cardstock. I felt the arrangement needed filling out slightly though so I stamped a few sprigs from the Crown Bloom Stamp Set in Silverstone ink, die cut with the matching dies, and tucked them in.
The sentiment is also from the Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum set, stamped in clear embossing ink on a dark grey card and white heat embossed before trimming to a banner and foam mounting over the flowers. As a final touch, I added a sprinkle of sequins.
