Christmas Paper Ornaments with Altenew Die-Cuts

Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here and today I would like to share something different than a card – Christmas ornaments created with Altenew die-cut sets! These are fun and easy to create and perfect for decorating Christmas trees, chandeliers, windows, walls, or whatever your heart and imagination desire!

For all my ornaments I used a light colored paper (A4 80 gsm); the lighter weight of the paper, the better. First, I started by cutting out 24 ornaments using a die from Peace on Earth Die Set. I folded my A4 sheet twice to speed up the process. Once all the pieces were cut, I folded each one in half.

Next, I used a paper clip to hold 12 folded die-cuts together and applied glue down the spine of the ornament.

I repeated the process with 12 more pieces, put two parts of my ornament together, and let it dry for a while.

Once the glue was dried, I removed the paper clips, attached a thread hanger and slowly fanned out all the panels to create the 3D shape of my ornament. I also used different die sets for more shapes (for some of them I needed to add my thread hanger to the spine covered with glue during step two).

I really love how these turned out. Here's a look at all of them together:

And I used my ornaments to decorate some branches that I have gathered in the garden.

Thank you for stopping by today!
