Clean and Simple, One Layer Cards
Hello there, it's Laurie Willison here. I am stopping by with a clean and simple card using 2 stamps, a background image, and a sentiment. I have so many people ask me how to do clean and simple. Finding an image with detail, adding in some color, and a fun sentiment can help give you that clean and simple card with a bang!
Here is how that works!
To create this card, I put the white cardstock into my MISTI and centered this stamp from Block Print. I used a makeup sponge to apply the ink to the background in rainbow order. I was able to apply a second coat to make sure the end result was nice and old. I used the Mini Hello Stamp Set to add the sentiment in black ink.
A simple one layer card with lots of details and color – using 2 stamps!
I wanted to show 2 more ways to use these amazing stamps. You get 4 designs in one stamp set so the possibilities are endless!
I stamped this image twice and then inked them up with an ombre effect. Next, I cut out each image and popped them up on foam tape on the card base and then added a simple black sentiment from Heartfelt Sentiments. I love that the design in the background stamp from Block Print Stamp Set can work as a beautiful focal point for your card.
This last card was very simple to make.
I stamped another image in Frayed Leaf ink and then cut 1/4″ off each side. Then, I popped it up on a white card base. I love that the simple act of cutting the edge off the card front and leaving a framed image adds a fun look. Finally, I added a sentiment from Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped in black ink. Another simple layout for a quick card!
I hope you have enjoyed my cards today. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
