Video: Creative Coloring with Erum: Adding Details to Die-Cuts

Hi there everyone!
Today I will be using the Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom Coordinating Dies for my project. I have colored die-cuts before with watercolors and also with Artist Markers. But today I will be adding detailing to the die-cuts like I do with stamps.
So, I cut a bunch of die-cuts for one flower out of Solar White Cardstock. And I used the Artist Markers in Shades of Purple to color the petals starting with Midnight Violet Artist Marker.
The notches on the Build-A-Flower: Peony Blossom are already there as guides for where to add shadows. This is where I will add the darkest color, Midnight Violet. Then I blended it out with Deep Iris Artist Marker, extending the lines…moving towards the flower center.
I also added the darkest color next to the flower center and then blended it out with lighter shades.
For the flower center, I used the colors from Summer Afternoon Artist Markers. For the leaves, I used the Green Fields Artist Markers. I started with the darkest color Evergreen, adding it to the notches, building the veins and midrib with a very light hand and then blended it out with Forest Glades Artist Marker which I will further blend with Frayed Leaf Artist Marker.
For the background, I added a color wash of Parrot and Forest Glades watercolor. Next, I added partial stamping with the Dainty Swiss Dots Stamp Set and Bamboo Crisp Dye Ink.
I also altered the Mandala Die to add as an accent when arranging the floral dies.
In the end, I added black paint splatters to balance the Label Love sentiment.
