Creative Coloring with Erum: Build-A-Flower: Magnolia

Hi there everyone! Erum here with a simple watercolor technique featuring Build-A-Flower: Magnolia Stamp Set.

First, I heat embossed the image from Build-A-Flower: Magnolia Stamp Set onto watercolor cardstock using Golden Peach Embossing Powder. Next, I used Watercolor Brush Markers in Rubellite, Midnight Violet, and Warm Sunshine to color the flower. This I did by applying pigment directly and then dabbing the water brush so the colors react and mix a little.

Similarly, I colored the green areas and I used Moss and Limeade Watercolor Brush Markers for this.

After the watercolor was done, I fussy cut the image and set it aside.

For the card front, I used Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink and a blending brush to make an ombre ink blended background. I used a Woodgrain White sheet for the card front. As you can see, due to the ink blending, the texture of woodgrain became quite prominent and looks really cool.

Once this was done, I stamped the sentiment and then glued the image directly. To finish, I added a few fine black paint splatters.
