Creative Coloring with Erum: Ghost Watercolor on Leaf Clusters
Hello everyone! Erum here today with a watercolor card to share featuring the Leaf Clusters Stamp Set and the Watercolor Brush Markers by Altenew.
To begin, I stamped the image from the Leaf Clusters Stamp Set with a water-reactive ink. Next, I went over a portion of the stamped image with a water brush and then used Desert Night and Persian Blue Watercolor Brush Markers to add pigment, which I then spread around with the help of a water brush.
Once the entire image was colored over, I used a water spray bottle and sprayed generously over the entire panel. I also used my water brush to spread the water around. To sop up excess water and to create more of a ghostly watercolor effect, I also used a tissue paper.
Next step was to color over the image again, but this time, instead of using the markers directly, I used diluted pigment. Once the image was covered, I added diluted paint splatters of both Desert Night and Persian Blue Watercolor. After this, I dried the panel completely with my heat gun.
To create a gorgeous effect, I then added clear water splatters and left them on for a few seconds so that they would react with the pigment on the panel. I used a tissue to dab over the entire panel and ended up with a beautiful bleached splatter look. Next, I dried the panel again and then stamped the sentiment.
To finish, I added very fine black paint splatters and a few clear drops.
