Creative Coloring with Erum: Beautiful Day No-Line Watercoloring
Hello! Erum here friends! Today, I have a one layer stamped card to share with you featuring the Beautiful Day Stamp Set. I will be using the Watercolor Brush Markers by Altenew to do no-line watercoloring. I will also add texture/pattern using a stencil and a blending brush.
First, I stamped the flower using a water reactive ink, masked it, and stamped the rest of the elements. Next, I used Rouge Watercolor Brush Marker to lay down pigment onto the petal and spread it around with a water brush. After doing this, I noticed that the result was very pigmented and not quite to my liking. So, I decided to smear a bit of watercolor pigment onto an acrylic block and used the water brush to pick up the pigment and transfer to the watercolor paper.
For the leaves, I used Moss and Limeade Watercolor Brush Markers. These are my go-to for warm leaves, the shades work well together.
For the filler flowers from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set, I used Warm Sunshine and Autumn Blaze Watercolor Brush Markers.
Once the image was colored, I added a light color wash around the floral image. I also added splatters of various concentration of the same shade as the color wash.
Once the panel was dry, I applied a water-based dye ink through the Grid Stencil; applying more pressure on the right and reducing it as I moved to the left and towards the top edge. After this, I used a black color pencil to add a bit of shadow to the floral image.
After this, I added very fine black paint splatters from the Watercolor 36 Pan Set.
Lastly, I adhered a strip of black cardstock with a white heat-embossed sentiment from the Sentiments Strips Stamp Set on the lower edge of the panel.
You can watch the process video below or on YouTube.
I hope you liked my card. Thank you for stopping by!
