Creative Coloring with Erum: No-Line Watercoloring on Dotted Blooms
Hi! Erum here today and I'm sharing a no-line watercolor card featuring the Dotted Blooms Stamp Set.
To begin, I stamped the image from the Dotted Blooms Stamp Set in Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I did this because distress ink reacts with water and it will be easier to achieve the no-line watercolor look.
Next, I applied water onto the petal and a light color wash of Cotton Candy pigment. After this, I added a bit of Grapevine pigment to show depth. In order to make the process faster and the wait time shorter, I used a heat gun to dry in between layers.
For the branch, I first laid down Paper Bag Watercolor and to add depth, I added Mocha Watercolor.
Once I colored the image, I applied a light color wash of Paper Bag Watercolor on the background. Similarly, to make the wait time shorter, I used a heat gun to dry in between layers. I also add splatters of diluted Mocha Watercolor. Once the background dried, I also added fine black paint splatters.
In the end, I stamped the sentiment and as a final touch, added a few clear drops.
