Floral Hugs and Kisses Card + Video

Hi friends!

Svitlana here. Today I want to share a floral card featuring Artist Markers coloring as well as an easy way to create a non-white background.

I started making my card by stamping a beautiful wreath from the Everlasting Happiness Stamp Set onto a Classic Crest Solar White panel using the Permanent Black Ink. Next, I stamped the same image onto a masking paper and cut out the mask for the big floral cluster of the design.

Next, I applied the mask and blended the Frosty Pink Crisp Dye Ink onto the panel. I didn't mask any small elements of the design and inked over them as well. It was okay since the small flowers I then colored over with pink and red markers and the leaves I made black. Even though masking this design seems intimidating I only needed to mask the three big flowers.

Then, I removed the mask and colored the stamped design using the Artist Markers.

After that, I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base, followed by popping the sentiment, which was white-embossed on black cardstock and die-cut. I used a stamp and its coordinating die from the Halftone Hearts Stamp Set and Halftone Hearts Die Set.

Lastly, I added several black crystals.

Below you can find the process video where you can see how this card was made. You can watch it here or in HD on Altenew’s YouTube channel:
