New Geometry & Nature Stencils Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello there, everyone! Happy Friday! Lydia here. I'm so excited to be sharing my project for our new stencil release here on the Altenew Blog.

This exciting stencil release was inspired by geometry and nature. Organic, flowing leaves and flowers are contrasted by linear designs, spheres, and circles. Although they may seem like opposing themes, these stencils are sure to work in harmony on your next project! We can't wait to see what you create!

Today, I'll be sharing a way to use an embossed resist with your stencils.

First, I started by placing the stencil over a piece of watercolor cardstock. I adhered the pieces together with a little tape so the stencil wouldn't move around. I then added embossing ink through the stencil. Once the piece was covered, I removed the stencil. Then, I covered it with Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set it.

For the sentiment I cut the largest dies from Apothecary Labels Die Set from Jet Black and Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from Across The Pond Stamp Set onto the smaller of the die-cuts and adhered them together. To add a little something behind this, I added a white die-cut using Spring Roses Die Set.
