Guest Designer- Annette Witherspoon

Hello Altenew fans. This is Annette Witherspoon from A. Spoon Full of Sugar Crafts and I am beyond thrilled to guest design for Altenew today. I am a HUGE fan of Altenew stamps. In fact, if Altenew had a fan club, I would be president! Ha!

Today, I have four cards for you. Three of them are stamped in an identical pattern, but I used a different technique with each of them. Although I used the same stamps arranged in the same pattern, none of the cards looks alike. Each card was created from an inspirational object I found in Pinterest.  They all give off a very different feel. The fourth card is a bonus I threw in for you. I made it for fun and I haven't posted it yet so I thought why not share it with you today?

Below are three cards I created. All of them use the Striped Florals and the Superscript 2 sets. I stamped them identically by first laying out my stamps in the pattern I wanted and using the MISTI, I was able to consecutively stamp all the images at once.

Foiling is very popular right now. I've seen some gorgeous cards using foil including an elegant Gold Floral Pattern Card from Rifle Paper Co., which I used as my source of inspiration for my first card. I stamped the card with Versamark ink and heat embossed it. Then, I placed gold foil from Deco Arts on top of the heat embossed images and ran it through my laminator.

Card number two was inspired by an illustration by Margaret Berg. To achieve this look, I stamped it and heat embossed it in black onto watercolor paper. I then very loosely watercolored the images and even created some of my own images.

The last of the three cards was inspired by dinnerware! I love looking at plates and tea cups with beautiful floral patterns. They are great source of inspiration. To create this card, I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic Markers.

There you have it: Three identically stamped card with three very different looks. Which one is your favorite?

Aaaaaand here is the bonus card. I used Painted Poppy, Lacy Scrolls and Superscript 2 to create this card. I distressed the panel and cut it out with my trimmer except for the poppy, which I carefully fussy cut to get it to go off the page.
