Masculine Coffee Lover Watercolor Card with Debby
Hi, it's Debby here today, and I have a rare masculine card to share.
It is all too easy for me to concentrate on making cards that appeal to me – lots of florals basically – LOL. However, I do need some variety in my card stash so I set out to use the versatile Coffee Love Stamp Set to create this masculine card or equally a card simply for someone who loves a nice cup of coffee.
COFFEE LOVE
On a cold pressed watercolor card, I stamped the coffee pot repeatedly in black ink to create a pattern. I then loosely watercolored the pots and also the area around them. For the background, I chose deep, rich coffee colors and let them mix and blend together to give a spilled look. To complete the distressed look, I splattered the panel liberally with a solution of Perfect Pearls.
I stamped a sentiment from the set in black ink on a circle of ivory card and punched a small hole which I threaded through with an unusual safety pin I upcycled. I added the panel to an ivory card base, wrapped twine around and then added the sentiment circle with foam adhesive. For the finishing touch, I added a trio of toning crystal droplets.
Thanks for joining me today and I'll see you next time.
