New Year’s Card with Bold Numerals Dies Tutorial
Hello, Altenew friends! This is Virginia here. Now that Christmas is over, perhaps we can start thinking about the New Year? It is not too late yet! I understand that you have lots to do after Christmas and that is why I am sharing a quick and easy New Year's card. Bold Numerals Die Set comes to the rescue! This is a set that you can use year after year for all occasion cards with numbers. Let's get started with the year 2020, shall we?
I started out with stamping Stone Mosaic Stamp Set on white cardstock. You can use any color combination to create your own mosaic. I chose pink ( Cotton Candy, Snapdragon and Magenta) and mint ( Misty Morning Mini Ink Cube) colors for my base. With the Bold Numerals Dies positioned on top of my stamped image, I ran them through my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine, I got my 4 numbers instantly!
To add shine and strengthen the numbers, I inked up the Embossing Ink and heat-embossed the numbers with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. Love that shiny and bold effect! Next, I applied the Gold String Washi Tape over a piece of cardstock and die cut it with Geo Frame Die Set. The Parchment Cardstock really tied all the elements nicely together.
I then adhered “2020” over the die and stamped “happy” (from “Happy Pomegranates Stamp Set“) on top. This card is complete! If you are pressed for time, you can use any Altenew's Patterned Papers with the Bold Numeral Dies. It's amazing that you can create any number-related cards in just 5 minutes!
