Quick and Easy Card feat. A Study in Watercolor Stamp Set

Hello, friends!  It's Laurie Willison here with a quick and easy card using a gorgeous leaf image from the stamp set called A Study in Watercolor.

I am not a pro when it comes to watercolor but I love the effects of a gorgeous stamped image with a little water-based dye ink and water mixed in.

Let me show you how I made this card!

First, I grabbed the largest image from the set and used my MISTI to stamp the image. I used 2 different water-based dye ink colors.

After I added the first ink color directly to the stamp, I used a dauber to add in some of the other ink. Next, I very lightly spritzed the image with water to get a soft watercolored look.

I played around with the amount of water and different color mix several times to see what type of look I wanted. In the end, the lightest spritz gave me a soft but still clear result. I think when it comes to watercolor, you can't go wrong with any watery, dreamy look though.

To finish off the card, I added a little black spritzing and then flicked on a little bit of white paint for a more distressed look. I heat embossed the sentiment on a black banner and popped that up with foam tape to get the final look.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and I appreciate you stopping in!  Have a great day!
