I want to show how you can easily use the water-based properties of Altenew inks to get a soft and pretty look!

To create this lovely flower, I started with the base image from Layered Lily, and inked it up with our Frosty Pink ink.  Before stamping it onto my watercolor paper, I gave it a quick little spritz with plain water.   This softens the color a bit, and makes the stamped image less precise – much like watercolor!

Once that layer dried, I went in with the next parts of the flower, inking them with Coral Berry, Ruby Red, and Grapevine, spritzing each with water.  Make sure to allow each layer to dry in between so you don't get a muddy mess!  To give more definition to the center of the flower, I stamped it in a light grey ink without spraying with water.  This allows the details to remain.

Next, I stamped my sentiment from Fresh Freesia in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  To finish off the card, I added strip of grey watercolor patterned paper to my card base, then popped the watercolor paper and black striped cardstock with foam tape.
