Soft Watercoloring with Peony Spray
Hello there everyone and happy Tuesday!
It's Lydia here. Today, I'll be sharing a card made with the ever-so-pretty Peony Spray Stamp Set.
I started by stamping the peony image from the stamp set onto some watercolor cardstock using embossing ink and then heat set this using white embossing powder.
I then masked this image off before stamping it again, using embossing ink once again, and heat-setting with white embossing powder. Once I had my images in place it was then time to do some loose watercoloring.
I covered the whole piece of watercolor cardstock using clean, clear water and then dropped in color where I wanted it. I used some Crisp Inks as my watercolor medium by adding some ink to my work surface then using a wet paintbrush to pick up the ink.
The colors I used were Olive and Moss for the leaves, Caribbean Sky, Dusk and Puffy Heart for the flowers. I just love how the pinks and blues mixed together on their own to create all different shades of purple too.
To finish, I simply added a sentiment from Love You So Mush Stamp Set embossed in white on a strip of black cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll see you again really soon.
Hugs,
Lydia
