Stamp Focus: A Study in Watercolor
Hello everyone! It's Aga here with a Stamp Focus post on the stamp set called A Study in Watercolor.
This set features beautiful watercolor floral silhouettes. These images are great for stamping backgrounds as well as creating stunning focal points. They are quite versatile and great for quick and easy projects for any occasion!
Today, I created three clean and simple thank you cards to give you a few ideas on how to use this set.
FIRST CARD
For my first card, I used the images to stamp a pastel background for my simple sentiment. I decided to apply various colors on a single image to create an ombre effect and used the following Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Buttercream, and Mango Smoothie.
To finish my card, I stamped the sentiments and completed them with two small images from Weekend Doodles Stamp Set.
SECOND CARD
For my next card, I stamped a silhouette foliage image in Baby Pink Crisp Dye Ink and used Moss Marker from Watercolor Brush Markers – Spring Garden Set to paint over the stamped image. I die cut it using the coordinating die and added some striped details with a black pen.
To finish my card, I used a patterned paper from Verdant Walk 6×6 Paper Pack for the background and a “thank you” sentiment from Label Love Stamp Set in black.
THIRD CARD
For my last card, I stamped the images using shades of blue, purple, and green on every image to create shadows. I chose to use the following colors: Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Dusk, Desert Night, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris, Bamboo, Parrot, Olive, and Moss.
As a final step, I stamped my sentiments in black.
