Stamp Focus: A Walk in the Woods Stamp Set
Hello, friends! It's Virginia here. I am super excited to share some ideas with you using the large background stamp “A Walk in the Woods” stamp set.
You might think why would I NEED another background stamp…? Well, this one is not like the other! For one thing, this stamp measures 5 1/2″x 5 1/2″ and is more than enough to cover the entire card front. The details in the woodgrain allow you to create a variety of projects – from unique and rustic to elegant and beautiful. Let's get right to my 3 cards!

Card #1: You Make My Heart Happy

Techniques: Stamping, Embossing, Inlaid Die-cutting
Firstly, I stamped “A Walk in the Woods” onto the entire cardstock in Espresso Crisp Dye Ink. I then stamped the image from Weekend Doodles with Embossing Ink and then white-embossed the image with Pure White Embossing Powder.

I then die cut the floral image with the Weekend Doodles Die Set. To add some depth, I stacked 3 more pieces of die-cut and popped up the image. You can absolutely skip this step, but I thought the continuity of the woodgrain looks awesome underneath the white-embossed flowers.

This design reminded me of the carving on trees because it is so playful. I reached for Enamel Dots and Golden Edge Washi Tape for the embellishment.
Card #2: Congrats to the Parents-To-Be
Techniques: Multi-color stamping, Inlaid die-cutting, Embossing, Die-cutting
Since woodgrain is timeless and is always trendy, why not use it for baby-related designs? Here I created a baby shower card with soft and pastel colors. With the woodgrain well positioned in my MISTI, I stamped it with Sunray, Wisteria, Iceberg, and Baby Pink. I then die cut the entire piece with Halftone Stars Nesting Dies (see below).
Once I made the die-cut, I used the negative die as my guild and popped each star back to the cardstock. The “Congrats” sentiment (Bundle of Joy) was embossed in Rose Gold Embossing Powder.
To spark some joy in this playful creation, it is not complete without adding Enamel Stars and silver strings!
Card #3: Sending Hugs to my Fabulous Friend

Techniques: Multi-step stamping, Stamping on Patterned paper, Embossing on Vellum
A Walk in the Woods Stamp Set is also great for adding textures! By white-embossing the stamp on Vellum Translucent Paper, you can immediately create this white-on-white texture like no other!
I stamped the focal point Ornate Foliage in Vanilla Cream, Chamomile, Sunray, Baby Pink, and Magenta. The sentiment was stamped in a gray patterned paper from Essential Rock Collection 6×6 Paper Pack. I am still swooning over that background!
Hope my post today WOOD help you see the amazing possibility of “A Walk in the Woods”! Thank you so much for stopping by!
