Video: One Layer Card using Amazing You Stamp Set & Colored Pencils
Hi, crafty friends! It's May here today with a one layer card featuring the gorgeous floral images from the Amazing You stamp set. It was my first time trying colored pencils and it was so much fun than I expected.
I started by stamping my images with following crisp inks: Rouge(flowers) and Frayed Leaf(leaves). I did lots of masking along the way to create some dimension on my flower bouquet.
After coloring my images, I added some shadows along the bottom of my bouquet with a light brown colored pencil. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.

To finish off my card, I added a few clear sequins on the card front. I'm still on the fence about adding those sequins – maybe it would have looked better without sequins? I almost added red ink splatters right before I took photos of my card. But I'm glad I didn't.
Don't you love all the layers in different shades of red? I was surprised to see myself being able to color with colored pencils. It's a shame that I've owned a full set of colored pencils for 4 years, and I just realized that how wonderful coloring medium it is!
I made a video tutorial to show you how to make this card from start to finish. You can watch it here or on YouTube channel:

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy crafting!
