Video: Jewel Toned Watercolor Mega Succulent

Hello!
I have a super cool technique to share with you today. This is my favorite watercolor technique and I use it all the time. This technique is called wet-on-wet watercoloring. For today's card, I am using the beautiful Mega Succulent Stamp Set.
To start, I stamped the Mega Succulent Stamp Set onto watercolor paper with Altenew Clear Embossing Ink. Then, I heat embossed it with Rose Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.
Next, I added water to the petal and dropped in a blue-green color. To this, I dropped in green color. And then tipped my paper a bit so that the color would flow. This usually results in beautiful marbling patterns.
Below is a photo showing you how gorgeous the effect looks. To make this more interesting, I added a little bit of gold color as well.
Doesn't it look beautiful?
You can follow this technique one petal at a time or do the entire piece in one go. If you try the latter, remember to pick up excess paint/water with a tissue paper to add interest.
After I was done with watercoloring, I die cut the letters from Caps Bold Alphabet Die Set to form the word “You”. For this, I used Gold Foil Cardstock which I stacked up a few times to turn it into chipboard pieces.
On top of the stacked “you”, I popped up a thin strip of gold embossed sentiment that I had lying around.
In the end, I added gold confetti and popped the card front on a Kraft card base.
