Lydia’s Crafty Corner – Creative Use for Fine Frames Circles Die
Hello everyone!
It's Lydia here with you again and today I'm sharing a video with a fun technique using the Fine Frames Circles Dies.
To create those cute little vinyl records, I used the Fine Frames Circles Die. First, I die cut it from Jet Black Cardstock with a piece of scrap cardstock underneath. That way it didn't cut all the way through; it just embossed the fine frames and cut only the center and outside edges. I cut a base for this using one of the dies from Halftone Circles Die Set and adhered the embossed fine frames onto it. I then cut a bright piece of cardstock using the center circle on the Fine Frames Circles Die and added this into the center of the base. Finally, I used a hole puncher to get the center hole.
I created six of these using various colored centerpieces.
For the sentiment on this card, I used the Thick & Thin Alpha, From the Desk Of and You Are Stamp Sets. I just love creating my own custom sentiment from different sets. I arranged the records around the sentiment, adhered them down and cut off the excess to use on my other card.
This card is mostly the excess pieces from the previous card, but it still works as a card in its own right! I stamped the sentiment from Painted Rose Stamp Set, arranged my records around it, and added a little Jet Black Ink Spray around to tie the whole card together.
