VIDEO: Lydia’s Crafty Corner – Monochromatic Backgrounds

Hi there everyone! Lydia here and I'll be sharing two cards with beautiful monochromatic backgrounds using the ever-so-pretty Sunflower Daisy Stamp Set.

For the backgrounds, I used Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Inks for the green card and Eastern Sky, Ultramarine and Azurite Inks for the blue card. I started by stamping the sunflower image. To keep this lighter, I missed out the base layer and used the other three layers. I just love the look this gives; it's much softer. Once these were stamped, I added over the  Sunflower Daisy Mask Stencil, then I stamped the daisy images, this time only using the second layer to give a lighter, softer look. I then covered the daisy images with the mask to fill in the white space with leaves.

I simply finished off the cards with a sentiment strip using the Sentiment Strips Stamp Set.
