Video: Lydia’s Crafty Corner – No-Line Coloring on Solid Images

Hello there everyone! It's Lydia here with you. Today I'll be sharing how you can create a no-line coloring effect on solid images using Artist Markers and A Study In Watercolor Stamp Set.

To start, I stamped a sentiment from Weekend Doodles Stamp Set into place using Jet Black Ink. I stamped the sentiment first so I could stamp around it and not have to worry about having a place for it at the end.

I then stamped images from A Study In Watercolor Stamp Set around the sentiment using Vanilla Cream Ink. It's best to use a really light ink for this as we will be coloring over it, I also find that a neutral is best when stamping solid images such as this one where the leaves and flowers are on one image.

Once my images were stamped, I then went ahead and colored on top of them. I used Bamboo, Olive, and Moss Artist Markers for the leaves and Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon, and Emerald Artist Markers for the flowers. For both the leaves and flowers I started with my darkest color then worked my way up the color family finishing with the lightest shade. I used the stamped image as a guide to decide where my images would be, as it's a solid image there is no right and wrong when deciding what is a petal and what is a leaf, it's completely up to you.

I finished the card off simply by adding a few Jet Black Enamel Dots.
