VIDEO: Multi-Toned Happy Heart Floral Card

Hello, friends!
Erum here today with an unusual flower color combination featuring the newly released Happy Heart Stamp Set.

I am using quite a few Altenew products on my project today. There's a video of the entire process at the end of this post if you want to watch that instead of reading.
The way I colored this flower is exactly the same way I colored the images on THIS card. A few of you asked me for a video on it so I thought I'd just swap the colors but follow the same technique.
First, I die cut the Mandala Die and then die cut a heart frame out of Halftone Hearts Nesting Dies. Next, I glued the Halftone Hearts frame onto the Mandala die cut and snipped off the extra piece. By doing this, I ended up with a beautiful lacy heart.
Then, I stamped several images from the Happy Heart Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Permanent Black Ink. After letting the ink set for a bit, I started coloring the images with Artist Markers. My first layer or the base layer was Buttercream. After this, I added Sapphire then Persian Blue then Caribbean Sky and lastly blended all the lines with Arctic Artist Marker. Next, I went back in with the Buttercream and added more yellow. In the end, I added a few strokes of Frayed Leaf Artist Marker. Doing this made all the difference!
You can't really see the green in photos and I never thought this combination would look good but it does in person! You should definitely try it.
I die cut all the images with the coordinating dies. The next step was to work on the card front. For this, I used distress stains to add a bit of yellow and green color wash to gel my “tropical” looking flowers. I did this so that the white background doesn't look too stark.
After the color wash was dry, I added black paint splatters and then popped the lacy heart frame with foam tape. Next, I arranged the floral spray.
After arranging the spray, I stamped the butterfly from Dream Big Stamp Set and colored it with Artist Markers in Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, and Caramel Toffee. I die cut this butterfly with its coordinating die as well and popped it on the lacy die, opposite to the floral arrangement.
In the end, I stamped one of the sentiments on a thin strip of paper and popped it on the lacy heart with foam tape.
Finally, I added some white iridescent sequins for some bling and popped the card front onto a base with foam tape.
