How-to Video: Two Tone Watercolor Flowers | Creative Coloring with Erum

Hi everyone! Erum here with a new card featuring the gorgeous Build-A-Flower: Coral Charm Stamp Set.

I heat embossed a couple of flowers, several leaves, and small bunches of flowers from the set in Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder on watercolor paper. Next, I scribbled Turquoise, Persian Blue, and Desert Night Watercolor Brush Markers onto the petal. The Desert Night Watercolor pigment was applied closer to the base of the petal only. After this, I dipped the water brush into clean water and then went over the pigment to spread it around a little and to activate it.

In some places, I applied more of Persian Blue pigment and in some places more of Turquoise. This is a more controlled version of the scribble-spritz watercolor technique I have shared earlier HERE.  For the leaves, I used Jet Black Watercolor Brush Marker.

For the card front, I applied water to the panel and added pigment from the Jet Black Watercolor Brush Marker. I used my water brush to spread it around and while the background was still wet, I added splatters to it fo interest. After drying it with the heat gun, I added more splatters of the same. Then I dried the panel again with the heat gun. Next, I added black paint splatters from the 36 Pan Watercolor Set. And then adhered the floral to the card front with foam tape and glued the leaves directly.

The sentiment was heat embossed in Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.

To finish, I added a few Antique Gold Sequins.
