Simple and Elegant Card with Golden Feather Stamp
Hi, friends!
Svitlana is here today.
Do you like feathers? I don’t like them. I LOVE and ADORE them. Feathers are one of those designs I can never get enough of. You don't really see me using them very often. But it's just because I try very hard not to make cards featuring things I love too often. Otherwise, all you see from me would be blue or gray cards with feathers or some of my other favorite designs.
But today is the day when I do use all of the above-mentioned on my card. And the main role is played by the very beautiful Golden Feather Stamp Set.

I started off with white embossing a couple of feathers onto a Vellum Translucent Paper using Pure White Embossing Powder. Next, I die-cut them using the matching dies. After that, I colored the back side of the vellum feathers using blue markers from the Artist Markers Set A.
Coloring on vellum with alcohol markers is not the same as on a regular paper since vellum is much less porous. So instead of blending in, marker ink rather stays and dries on top. And when you color with one color over another, it replaces the previous one. The result is nothing similar to what you usually get on a regular paper and can sometimes look even ugly. But I like using this method to color emboss on vellum die-cuts. From the front side of a vellum, all those imperfections are much less visible. Also, embossing covers the most part of a die-cut. And it looks much lighter than if it was embossed on a regular blue cardstock. I personally like having it lighter when creating feathers.

Next, I cut a panel out of a Pale Gray Cardstock and added several splatters of black spray onto it.
I stamped a sentiment onto a Solar White Cardstock stripe using Jet Black Ink and the Thinking Of You Stamp Set. After that, I put down some adhesive using a Glue Tape in the top part of the panel and placed some tangled silver thread on top. After that, I adhered the feathers on top of the thread and foam mounted the sentiment above them.

Lastly, I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base and added several silver crystals to accentuate the card.

Have a wonderful day!
