Stamp Focus: Crystal Frames + Video
Hello everyone!
Svitlana is here today focusing on the newly released stamp set – Crystal Frames.
When I first saw this set I all those trendy images from Pinterest popping up in my head. So the cards I made with this set kind of follow the trend.
PINK AND NAVY TROPICS
I really like the combination of blue and pink in general. A bit unusual and eye-catching. It works very well for a tropical theme, even though this color wave is not exactly traditional or realistic in the tropics.
For my card, first I die cut and stamped several leaves from the Wild Ferns Stamp Set using the Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, and Coral Berry Dye Inks.
Then I embossed a frame from the set using the Rose Gold Embossing Powder onto a Navy Cardstock and cut it out using my scissors.
Next, I made a card base out of a Navy Cardstock and I adhered the leaves onto it; followed by popping the frame piece on top.
Lastly, I added several gold crystals.
WASHI TAPE
For my next card, I used a product which is always an answer when you need to create something quickly – washi tape. I used the Glitter Flurries Washi Tape, in particular.
I applied the tape onto a piece of Solar White 80lb Cardstock and cut out several elements using my scissors.
Then. I gold embossed a frame from the set in question along with the sentiment onto a Solar White 110lb Cardstock panel. This time. I used the Antique Gold Embossing Powder as it matches the foiling on the washi tape better.
After that, I adhered the washi tape cuts onto the panel in the bottom left and top right corners of the frame.
Lastly, I applied the Watercolor Nebula Washi Tape onto a card base and foam mounted the panel onto it.
PINK AND MARBLE
My last card is made in a trendy business card-like design of pink and marble.
I masked off a white panel diagonally using a low tack tape and blended the Frosty Pink Dye Ink in the right bottom part of it.
Next, I masked off the opposite side and stamped a marble background using stamps from the Rain or Shine Stamp Set and Silver Lake, Gray Denim, Cloudy Night Dye Inks.
After that, I gold embossed a frame over the corners of the panel, along with gold embossing a sentiment in the middle. I used the Antique Gold Embossing Powder for this.
Lastly, I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
