Stunning Cosmos on Watercoloured Background

Hello!
I have a colourful card to share with you using multiple Altenew items: the Stunning Cosmos Stamp Set, the Painted Butterflies Stamp Set, the Forever and a Day Die, and the Create-a-Wreath Die. There is a lot going on in today's card. As you can see, there's watercolouring, pencil colouring and I have also used Artist Markers!
To begin with, I cut my card front out of watercolour paper. Next, I wet some area of the paper and started to add watercolours to it. However, I didn't cover the entire front area because I was going for a messy look. For this reason, I kept going back in with shades of blue and picked some colour back up with the help of a tissue paper.
In order to get a more messy background, I added water splatters and white paint splatters as well. In short, you can play around as much as you want! You can stop at the very beginning with a clean watercoloured background or carry on like I did.
To be honest, I do think I should've stopped midway, my piece looks way too worked on and it's a bit distracting. Also, it's weird that in every photo my flowers look different!
I stamped the Stunning Cosmos layers in Lagoon and Emerald Crisp Inks. I then went in to add details with colour pencils. Next, I fussy cut the flowers and kept them aside.
I die cut several pieces from the Create-a-Wreath Die Set. Similarly, I die cut around four pieces of the two smaller branches in the Forever and a Day Die Set and glued them together. After that, I coloured these with Artist Markers in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades,Warm Sunshine and Buttercream.
I glued down the branch frame onto the card front. First I popped my flowers with foam tape, then I started adding the vines and “twigs” from the Create-a-Wreath Die Set.
After this spray was arranged, I roughly added yellow paint splatters where the “yellow berries” were to give it a fuller look.
Then, I popped up my sentiment and the butterfly, which I coloured with Artist Markers.
Finally, after popping the front onto the base, I added some gold confetti for the bling.
I think the Stunning Cosmos looked great against the bold, night sky. You can also try this on a lighter background – maybe light grey or white.
